Clothing Quilts
I make memory
quilts using clothing along with photos of your family and friends.
Your clothing and photos weave together quilts
that you can snuggle with in remembrance of loved ones. My customers find great comfort in
the daily
use of their memory quilts. Many times customers have clothing and
photo quilts
made into wall hangings to be displayed around their homes as art.
I do all of the work at my house in Oakton Virginia, it is a labor
of love. The actual process may be short in days but long in hours.
Quilting is my passion and when I am working on a project, I get up early and work late
into the night to get the quilts to
the happy customers. After I begin a new project, I find that I can not rest
until I finish my work on one of my
many machines . Each quilt takes about
two weeks to complete from the day I receive your fabric or photos
depending on how many projects there are.
Clothing Types for
Memory Quilts:
Any fabric will work for your memory
quilt, my only requirement is that the clothing be clean and
prewashed. Please wash and dry all clothing before you mail it to
me, after the quilt is finished, you
will be able to wash your clothing quilt. These are some of the fabrics
that I have used in previous clothing quilts. Basically anything that can
be fit in my industrial sewing machine.

Quilt Size
of Clothing Quilts:
Most of the memory quilts are lap or
couch size but I also make
larger quilts. Many times I will make a quilt for your mother and
pillows for your siblings or other members of you family to enjoy. Place your order now to secure you spot

make a baby 100 Good Wishes quilt (not a memory quilt) but I've seen
samples of her memory quilts and they are beautiful.
Donna was very easy to work with. She
listened to all of my ideas and offered suggestions based on her wealth
of experience as a quilter. She really put her heart into making a
gorgeous ladybug quilt for me which will turn into an heirloom for my
soon-to-be-adopted daughter.

I will provide a memory quilt label for
your quilt telling the story of the clothing and your loved ones life. This
is a great way to remember personal events and why you chose to
commemorate the person with a quilt made out of their own belongings.
Prices of Clothing Quilts:
Prices vary based on the size, you can find
them
on my
pricing and shipping page. I
have estimated my hours for each clothing quilt and come up with firm
fixed prices for each individual customers. I take the risk of additional time
required for these fragile fabrics and design elements and enjoy the
challenge. My customers like to know the total price when they order
there will be no hidden charges.

Blue Jean Quilt
This shows the design process. I sent the design on
the left for approval by the customer. They approved the
design that I sent to them, and the process was underway. The quilt on the right
is complete. Notice the green squares. The customer approved the
four
green squares but decided they were too loud when there were four of
them so one was removed. I
strive for happy customers and will change the quilts according to the
